Worker Share CSA:

A worker share is a labor exchange for a CSA share which includes a weekly supply of vegetables, berries, eggs, and chicken.  A worker’s share is a commitment of 4 hours a week working on the farm helping produce the food grown on our farm.  Our hours are flexible, but arranged for 4 hours each week in exchange for a CSA Share. 

This gives Work Share members an opportunity to be a part of the food they produce, and have the opportunity of high quality delicious food while learning how it’s grown and produced.  The work can be very demanding.  As an organic farm, there is a lot of weeding, harvesting, planting which involves a lot of walking, kneeling, standing, stooping, bending, pulling, roto tilling, and mulching.  To us, this is the most rewarding work by enjoying working outside in nature.  We even dance in the fields with our ipods –in overalls singing as loud as we can! 

If you’re interested, please contact us.  We will start planting mid April and need some help then but most of the work will start the beginning of June and will go into the fall.

Volunteer Opportunities

We are always in need of volunteers and we try to give back to our volunteers by giving them gift certificates for the food we produce, so they can also enjoy the food they helped produce.  This is a great way to learn how your food is grown and what it takes to produce in which makes it more enjoyable to eat.

Want to spend the day out on an organic farm and experience how an organic farm works?  You'll work outside in the sun with your hands in the dirt while birds fly overhead, wildlife is abundant, and chickens are running around.  Come spend a day helping us plant, weed, or harvest and in exchange we will provide you will a gift certificate to be used at our farmer's market stands during the season.  This can be a great family day.  You must RSVP first! 

You can work 1 hour or 4 hours it's up to you.  Just bring a water bottle, sunscreen, gloves and a bag or box to take the veggies home.

This is only done by appointment, so contact us first to make arrangements.

Garlic Harvester:

The week of July 4th we will begin our garlic harvest.  We start harvesting about 8am and finish about 5pm.  It usually takes about 8 days.  We are flexible of your hours and try to get a good crew that works together well.  Total hours for the week can be from 15-50 hours.

You will need boots, gloves, sunscreen, water, lunch and the ability to work hard!

A year supply of garlic is included!
